Tales2Go Offers Audio Exclusive from Mrs. P’s Magic Library
Tales2Go and MrsP.com announced today an audio exclusive of the classic fairy tale “The Little Mermaid”. This beloved classic, narrated by TV star Kathy Kinney who portrays Mrs. P, will be released on Tales2Go as an audio book exclusive. This exclusive presentation of “The Little Mermaid” on Tales2Go expands the distribution relationship between the two companies, which are both dedicated to exciting kids to read. Tales2Go currently includes 19 audio stories from Mrs. P’s award-winning children’s storybook website, including “The Princess and the Pea”, “The Walrus and The Carpenter,” and “Alice in Wonderland.”
“We love what Tales2Go is doing with their focus on the school market, and wanted to offer some special content to teachers of a story we know kids love,” said Kathy Kinney, who often performs in elementary schools as Mrs. P. “Chapter books are wonderful learning tools for kids and so many activities can be crafted about them.”
“We are huge fans of Mrs. P and the talent and dedication Kathy Kinney puts into narrating the classics of literature in a modern and relevant way. Likewise, we are excited to partner with Mrs. P on an exclusive audio presentation of such a well-known and loved chapter book,” stated William Weil, CEO, Tales2Go. “Listening to audio books is a tried and true pathway to building vocabulary, which is at the foundation of becoming a skilled reader. Getting kids to be excited and skilled at reading by third grade is critical; sadly just 34% of third graders in the U.S. read at or above level, and are four times more likely not to graduate from high school.”
Founded in 2009, Tales2Go is an award-winning subscription kids' audio book service, which offers teachers and parents instant and unlimited access to thousands of titles from leading audio publishers and storytellers to stream on Apple mobile devices in the classroom and beyond. Stories range from fairytales to popular series and characters such as Clifford, Ivy and Bean and Diary of a Wimpy Kid to classics such as Treasure Island and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Listening to stories is a proven pathway to becoming a skilled reader - at all levels - as audio books expose kids to vocabulary, build critical listening and comprehension skills and excite kids about literature.
Tales2Go offers a free, 30-day trial as well as monthly and annual subscription plans, including bulk sales for schools. For more information, visit http://www.tales2go.com
